Princeton Folk Music Society Recordings
The Princeton Folk Music Society (PFMS) has been active since 1966, when it organized a concert by Doc Watson. Over the last 55 years, PFMS has produced over 500 concerts by leading folk, blues, and old-time artists, among them Muddy Waters, the New Lost City Ramblers, Strange Creek Singers, John Jackson, Elizabeth Cotten, and Dave Van Ronk, along with a long list of contemporary singer-songwriters. The PFMS remains active in promoting roots and tradition-based music in central New Jersey.
In 2023, PFMS donated its archive of concert recordings to the Arhoolie Foundation. Audio previews of several concerts are presented here. You can view the complete collection finding aid by clicking "Find Out More" below.
