Always Been a Rambler Collection
This collection contains digital materials from the production of Always Been a Rambler, a 2009 documentary about the New Lost City Ramblers directed by Yasha Aginsky and produced by the Arhoolie Foundation. Materials include audio and video recordings of interviews and live performances, photographs from festivals like Hardly Strictly Bluegrass and Berkeley Old-Time Music Convention, and archival footage of the Ramblers. This collection also includes recordings of interviews and performances by contemporaries of the Ramblers, like Hazel Dickens, Alice Gerrard, David Grisman, and Maria Muldaur, as well as younger musicians inspired by the Ramblers, including the Carolina Chocolate Drops, Rayna Gellert, and Ricky Skaggs.
